!Vote Here! New Version of Windows Live Hotmail Sucks

Tell me you noticed how crappy the new interface is. It’s embarassing to think this is professionally developed content. They tried to blow it off by saying it’s better:

A cleaner, more customizable look
Up to 70% faster access to your email
Easier access to your Windows Live Hotmail contacts

And yet this is what they delivered:

It’s bunk. Back [...]

Is your project out of control?

Recently I have been ruminating on why, it seems, all the projects I have worked on as a contributor over the last 3+ years have missed their dates, customer expectations, and, I presume, their budgets (with one too brief respite, which I will get to later). Really now?

As seen on the web (emphasis mine):
Recent surveys by the consulting firm Watson Wyatt Worldwide indicate that while nearly half of US employers believe stress from long working hours and demands to produce more with less is influencing business performance, only 5 percent say they’ve taken strong action to remedy the situation.

So at first I figure, maybe it’s a batch process that hasn’t updated, or [...]

More fun with passwords!

I’m sure I am not the first person to have this thought, but it really sucks to have to change my password for my work PC every 90 days. Just about the time I am used to typing it in, Bang! I have to change it again and start the process all over again. All [...]

Meetings, oh meetings

It never ceases to amaze me how meetings can suck the productivity right out of your day. For instance, this week I had no less than 3 separate meetings to go over the same content: 2 internal and one external. And that was just for the main project I’m on. There were also 2 full [...]
